The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeSade throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
DeSade will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Payne takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
DeSade closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Payne lands a left hand.
Payne breaks the clinch.
Payne misses with a takedown
and DeSade counters with a leg kick.
Payne tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Payne rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but DeSade moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Payne has DeSade up against the cage in a clinch.
Payne scores with a shot to the side of DeSade's head.
DeSade's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
