Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joerg Renken!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jake Hamilton!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamilton throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hamilton throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Renken.
Renken misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hamilton is defended easily by Renken.
Renken rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hamilton moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Renken defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hamilton.
A right-left combo lands from Renken.
It looks like Jake Hamilton has been cut.
Hamilton throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Renken swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hamilton tries a low kick but Renken avoids it.
Hamilton misses with a kick to the body.
Hamilton shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Renken as he jumps to the side.
Joerg Renken has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Hamilton.
Renken takes a head kick and keeps coming.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hamilton throws a leg kick but Renken checks it.
Hamilton shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Renken pinned against the cage. Renken gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Renken works over Hamilton's head and body with a nice combination.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Hamilton.
Renken takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Hamilton shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hamilton throws a sloppy head kick and Renken moves out of range easily.
Hamilton looks gassed!
Hamilton falls off balance throwing a combination
and Renken counters with a crisp one two that drops Hamilton! Renken thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Hamilton to his feet! Hamilton is in big trouble!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Renken throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Renken keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Renken connects with a stiff jab that staggers Hamilton - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Joerg Renken!
