Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ruben Yvel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, David Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ruben Yvel! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yvel has taken the fight to the clinch.
Nice body punch from Silva. Silva blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Silva gets control of Yvel's arms and successfully pulls guard. Silva will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Silva is controlling Yvel's posture. Yvel wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving. Yvel preventing the sweep. Silva working a defensive guard here.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Yvel connects with a high kick.
It looks like David Silva has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Silva misses with a double jab.

That's one minute gone in the round. Silva throws a right hand that Yvel ducks under and follows up with a left that Yvel also avoids with ease. Yvel wants to clinch up but Silva keeps it at a distance. Yvel is looking to clinch. Silva connects with a jab. Silva swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A lazy left from Silva finds it's target. Yvel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silva swats him away and circles back towards the center. Silva moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Yvel throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Yvel moves in looking to clinch but Silva pushes him off. Silva throws a nice looking combination but Yvel bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Yvel moves in looking to clinch but Silva pushes him off. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Silva scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. A punch combination from Silva misses. Silva lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Silva blocks a head kick by Yvel.

Silva tries to bum rush Yvel with a series of wild strikes but Yvel uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Silva avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Yvel tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Silva paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ruben Yvel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva moves into the clinch successfully.

Silva has a closed guard, preventing Yvel from standing up. Silva looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Silva managing to control the position. Yvel has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Silva is proving hard to escape from.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Yvel has taken the fight to the clinch.
Yvel lands an elbow just above Silva 's eye. The fighters are pressed against the ropes, as the pace of the fight slows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva pulls Yvel into guard.
Silva pulls Yvel in close to prevent any damage. Yvel must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Silva's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Silva lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Yvel! Yvel wants to hold on but Silva pushes him away. Silva thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Yvel is bucking up trying to escape but Silva cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Yvel tries to hold on but Silva pushes him away. Silva landing strikes from the mount. Yvel is trying to get back to his feet but can't. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva avoids the attempt from Yvel to control. Silva working for a submission but Yvel is keeping him at bay. Silva looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Silva fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Silva cracks Yvel with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Silva landing strikes from the mount. Silva misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Silva working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Yvel turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Silva off and cradles Yvel's limp body as Silva celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). David Silva!
