The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Dik throws a nice inside leg kick.
SAN looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
The fighters circling - SAN throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
SAN is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
SAN lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Van Dik circles away quickly and effectively.
Van Dik tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
SAN will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Van Dik misses with a kick to the body.
Van Dik scores with a head kick.
Van Dik shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Van Dik showed some decent athleticism there.
SAN is looking to escape.
Van Dik seems to be looking for submissions.

Van Dik wants to work for an arm triangle but SAN is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Van Dik maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! SAN could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Van Dik has cracked it and SAN is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Van Dik!
