PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Travis Pinder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Summers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pinder comes to the cage accompanied by Drowning Pool's Let The Bodies Hit The Floor. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Travis Pinder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Scott Summers!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Columbo Gatti and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Summers throws a lazy right hand but Pinder sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Summers steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pinder.
Summers slips a straight right by Pinder.
Summers is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Pinder lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Summers tries to clinch but Pinder moves out of range.
Pinder lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Summers circles away quickly and effectively.
Pinder connects with a jab.
Summers takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Summers looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pinder is fending him off so far but Summers persists. Nope, Pinder circles away and we're back to standing.

Summers has hold of Pinder's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Pinder manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Summers uses his free foot to push down on Pinder's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Pinder.

Summers has control of Pinder's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Pinder regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well Pinder has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
