Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jack Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Soboyt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnny Soboyt will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Soboyt tries to avoid it but Hammer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Soboyt to the ground. Soboyt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Soboyt has taken the fight to the clinch.
Soboyt wants to break free but Hammer has control.
Hammer wants a takedown.
Hammer with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Hammer takes an elbow to the forehead.
Hammer has Soboyt pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Soboyt manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Soboyt using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hammer has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Hammer looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are battling for position here. Soboyt manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Soboyt is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hammer is controlling him.
Hammer throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Soboyt works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Soboyt not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hammer is looking to advance position but Soboyt has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Soboyt goes for an armbar but Hammer turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Hammer.
Hammer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Soboyt looks gassed!
Hammer lands a couple of digs.

Hammer pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Soboyt is keeping the position for now.
Hammer keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Soboyt's head.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hammer won't allow Soboyt to get back to his feet.

Hammer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Soboyt has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hammer has managed to get both his arms back between Soboyt's legs - danger averted.

Hammer is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Hammer extends the arm and Soboyt is forced to tap!
