Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mats Nilsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirk Haamelmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dirk Haamelmann told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dirk Haamelmann!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nilsson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Nilsson lands in his opponent's guard.

Haamelmann controls Nilsson momentarily but Nilsson frees himself.
Haamelmann wants to sweep here but Nilsson controlling him for the moment.
Nilsson forces his way into half guard.

Nilsson is working for a kimura but Haamelmann is defending it quite comfortably.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nilsson connects with a nice short shot to Haamelmann's temple.

Nilsson wants to control but Haamelmann is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nilsson could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Nilsson scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Nilsson in particular looking to stall.

Haamelmann is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Nilsson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Haamelmann doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Nilsson.
Nilsson is breathing heavily.
Nilsson is controlling the pace.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Haamelmann is trying to stand.
Nilsson is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Nilsson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Haamelmann is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mats Nilsson dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Nilsson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Haamelmann!
Haamelmann tries to control Nilsson's body but Nilsson pushes him off. Haamelmann squirms to his side and now Nilsson has his back!
Nilsson lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Nilsson.
Haamelmann tries to roll but Nilsson sticks to his back.

Nilsson scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.

Nilsson sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Haamelmann taps out!
