Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cody Myres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heath Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller has chosen welcome to the jungle as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cody Myres! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Heath Miller! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Myres tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Miller paws at him with a jab and circles away. Miller drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Miller trying to control the action but Myres is working from the bottom. Miller is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Miller wants to control but Myres is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller decides to take the fight back to the feet. Miller fails with a takedown attempt. Miller avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Myres bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Miller tries to clinch there but Myres circles away.
Cody Myres seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Myres throws a nice looking combination but Miller bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Myres swinging wilding here.
Myres is breathing heavily. Miller shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Myres defends it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Myres. No joy for Miller on that attempt. Cody Myres has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Heath Miller. Miller shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Myres manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Miller wants to get up but he can't break Myres's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Miller is looking to stand up but Myres won't let him. Miller postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Myres is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Miller, into his guard. Myres wants to get up but he can't break Miller's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Myres controls from within his opponent's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Heath Miller dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Myres looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Myres tries to clinch but fails miserably so Miller counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Myres is working an open guard so Miller takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Miller moves into the clinch successfully.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miller seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Myres does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Miller looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Miller in particular looking to stall. Myres is not content to let Miller control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Miller with the ground and pound but Myres uses the opportunity to regain guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Myres has a closed guard, preventing Miller from standing up. Miller trying to control but Myres is working from the bottom. Myres on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Myres tries to get out of the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Myres shoots in for a double leg but Miller sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Myres moves in looking to clinch but Miller pushes him off. Miller will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A combination from Miller does no damage. Myres lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Miller backs up against the cage.
Miller fails with the takedown and Myres counters with a nice double leg into guard. Miller is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Myres tries to free his leg and advance position but Miller is retaining full guard. Myres trying to control but Miller is working from the bottom. Miller has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Myres won't allow Miller to sweep him here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Myres trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Myres wanted to stand there but Miller had control of the position. Miller has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Myres off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Miller is looking to clinch but Myres is avoiding it.
Myres rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Miller moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A punch combination from Myres misses. Miller dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Myres. That did some damage! Miller looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Myres is fending him off so far but Miller persists. Nope, Myres circles away and we're back to standing. Cody Myres has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Heath Miller. Miller shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Myres as he avoids it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Heath Miller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Myres gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Myres utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Miller trying to control the position but Myres is working away. Miller is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Myres is trying to escape and Miller transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Myres is forced to tap! Nice work there by Miller! Very nice indeed!
