Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ivo Lens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Erik Barrera!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrera closes the distance and clinches up with Lens, looking for a takedown. Barrera pushes Lens against the cage but Lens circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
No luck for Lens with that takedown attempt.
Lens avoids the head kick by Barrera.
Barrera shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lens pinned against the cage. Lens gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Barrera looks to land a combination. Lens sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Lens with a lazy takedown attempt
and Barrera counters with a left and a right that stings Lens.
Barrera throws a right hand that Lens ducks under and follows up with a left that Lens also avoids with ease.
Lens on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Barrera lands a nice hook to Lens's body. Lens takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Lens shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Barrera can do anything to dispel that myth.
Lens in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Lens throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Barrera because Lens loaded up on that one.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lens lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Barrera is looking to get to half guard.

Lens looking to ground and pound but Barrera is blocking nicely.
Lens throwing strikes here but Barrera is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Lens lands a heavy elbow.
Barrera's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Lens is landing with some decent strikes but Barrera is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Barrera tries to hold on but Lens pushes him away.
Lens looking to finish Barrera with some ground and pound. This is bad for Barrera!
Lens thowing shots but they're missing.

Lens working the ground and pound effectively.
Lens looking to control but Barrera is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Barrera tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Barrera is squirming around, avoiding Lens's attempts to control the action.
Lens landing strikes, looking to finish!
Lens lands a heavy elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Barrera working to try and regain half guard.
Lens is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Lens postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Barrera looks a forlorn figure.


Barrera is rocked!
Lens controlling the pace for now.
Barrera is still in real trouble! Can Lens finish him?
Lens postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Barrera badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Lens around the waist but Lens pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Lens is the winner by TKO! Lens jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ivo Lens!
