Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Arlovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, John Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrei Arlovski! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Illya Tyunina and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arlovski misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jones throws a head kick but Arlovski moves out of range.
Arlovski fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Arlovski connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Danga de danga de dang - Arlovski scores with a four punch combination! Jones connects with a body shot. Arlovski throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Arlovski circles away from the clinch attempt.
Arlovski takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Arlovski lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Jones backs up against the cage.
A nice inside leg kick there by Arlovski. That's going to slow Jones down. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Arlovski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. John Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones tries to clinch but Arlovski moves out of range. Arlovski clobbers Jones with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Arlovski moves away. Arlovski swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jones avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jones tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Arlovski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Arlovski swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones. Arlovski scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is looking for a sweep. Jones is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Jones is breathing heavily. Jones is not content to let Arlovski control the position. Arlovski is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jones is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Arlovski is trying to get an arm triangle but Jones is defending well. Jones is trying to get back to half guard. Arlovski tries for a kimura but Jones is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Arlovski tries for a kimura but Jones is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Arlovski is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Jones is trying to escape and Arlovski transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Jones is forced to tap! Nice work there by Arlovski! Very nice indeed!
