Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a head kick but Abbot moves out of range.
Abbot blocks a head kick by Silva.
Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Silva thows a big elbow that misses.
Silva loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Silva working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Silva gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Abbot looks gassed!
Silva throws a head kick that misses.
Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Silva goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Abbot turns into him and now he's in Silva's guard.
Abbot with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Abbot can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Abbot trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom.
Silva working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Abbot has passed into half guard!

Abbot is looking for a kimura but Silva is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Abbot to get the leverage.
Silva has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Abbot. Oh but Silva has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Abbot goes limp - he's gone! Silva jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
