Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Danny Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Danny Lynch has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Danny Lynch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jason Coleman!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lynch fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Coleman, pushing him back against the cage.
Lynch fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Lynch is pressed up against the cage. Coleman has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lynch down to the mat. Lynch avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Coleman wants to clinch up but Lynch keeps it at a distance.
Lynch tries to clinch but Coleman moves out of range.

Coleman instigates a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Lynch's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Lynch wants to break free but Coleman has control.
With the fighters up against the cage, Lynch throws an elbow but misses.

Lynch successfully pulls guard.
Lynch wants to get back to his feet but Coleman is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Lynch trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Lynch keeping moving, preventing Coleman from controlling successfully.

Lynch uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Lynch misses with a double jab.
Coleman darts in trying to clinch
and Lynch cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Coleman is looking to clinch but Lynch is avoiding it.
Lynch shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Coleman defends it nicely.
Lynch throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Coleman tries for a takedown but Lynch circles away easily
and Lynch counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Lynch fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Danny Lynch. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lynch stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lynch wants it to stay on the feet.
Coleman tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Lynch holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Lynch manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Coleman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lynch swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lynch wants to stand but Coleman is controlling the position.
Lynch on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lynch tries to get out of the position.
Lynch is breathing heavily.
Coleman controls from within his opponent's guard.

Lynch is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Coleman trying to control the position from guard on top but Lynch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lynch is looking to stand up but Coleman isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Coleman trying to control but Lynch is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lynch has a closed guard, preventing Coleman from standing up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Lynch will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Coleman swinging wilding here.
Lynch shoots in and drives through. Coleman sprawls well.
Lynch misses with a double jab

and Coleman moves into the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Coleman has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Lynch is trying to keep an underhook but Coleman manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Coleman lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Coleman wants to stand but Lynch has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Danny Lynch will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



The fight moves into the clinch position.
Coleman drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Coleman is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lynch pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Lynch makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Lynch fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Lynch has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Coleman regains guard immediately.
Coleman is trying to keep Lynch in close.

Coleman is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lynch stops Coleman from standing up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Coleman has his hands on Lynch's head, controlling the position.
Coleman is trying to hold Lynch in close to prevent damage but Lynch has managed to pass into half guard.
Coleman is trying to stand.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Lynch escapes and gets back to his feet.
Lynch looks to clinch

and Coleman holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Lynch has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Coleman is working for takedown but Lynch is calmly controlling the position for now.
Danny Lynch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Coleman.
Coleman is stalling here.
Coleman is trying to drag Lynch to the mat but Lynch just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Lynch tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Coleman smiles and moves away.
Lynch shoots in looking for a takedown. Coleman tries to sprawl out of it but Lynch keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Coleman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Coleman closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lynch circles away.
Lynch leaves Coleman with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Coleman throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lynch connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lynch tries for a takedown but Coleman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Coleman lands a nice hook to Lynch's body. Lynch takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Coleman shoots and misses

and Lynch counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Coleman regains full guard. Nicely done.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Coleman is on top in guard.

Coleman wants to control from the top but Lynch keeps moving.
Coleman working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Coleman trying to control but Lynch is working from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Coleman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Danny Lynch dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Coleman is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lynch sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Coleman throws a push kick but Lynch slaps the foot to one side.
Coleman closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lynch circles away.

and Coleman counters with a nice low kick that buckles Lynch's knee momentarily.

Coleman tries to improve position but can't.

Lynch stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Coleman will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Coleman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lynch's waist but Lynch gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Coleman off to one side.
Lynch has his takedown stuffed
letting Coleman counter with a right hand.
Coleman dives in and grabs Lynch's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lynch pushes down on Coleman's head and hops out.

Coleman manages to break the clinch.

Lynch throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Coleman.
Coleman scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Coleman fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Danny Lynch is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lynch tests Coleman's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Coleman shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Lynch kicks off Coleman and gets to his feet.

Coleman shoots and misses
and Lynch counters with a series of strikes. Coleman will be more careful next time no doubt.
Coleman throws a sloppy head kick and Lynch moves out of range easily.
Lynch shoots in and drives through. Coleman sprawls well.

Coleman gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Come on Coleman - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Lynch.

Coleman jumps guard and drags Lynch to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Coleman has a closed guard, preventing Lynch from standing up.

Lynch really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Coleman not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Coleman holds on and takes a little breather.

Coleman has his foot on Lynch's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lynch works his way back into a safe position though.
Coleman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Danny Lynch is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Coleman wants to control but Lynch passes easily into half guard.

Danny Lynch showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lynch, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
