Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Denver Randleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Self (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Don Self is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Self throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Randleman was covering up waiting for the punch and Self finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Self content to stall in guard here.

Randleman wants to stand but Self is controlling the position.
Self landing with the ground and pound.

Randleman can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Self controls the pace.
Randleman wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Self manages to pass to side control.

Randleman makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Self misses with an uppercut. Randleman saw that one coming.
Randleman throws a series of punches but Self moves out of range.
Randleman scores with a one two! Self had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Randleman lunges at Self with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Self's hand.
Randleman connects with a high kick.
Randleman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Randleman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Self.
Randleman misses with a two punch combination.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Self.
Self tries for a takedown but Randleman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Self closes the distance and clinches up with Randleman, looking for a takedown. Self pushes Randleman against the cage but Randleman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Denver Randleman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Don Self.
