Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Justin Credible! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mr Hoggess! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Russell Pearce and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Credible looks to land a combination but Hoggess avoids it well. Hoggess wants to clinch. Credible throws a series of punches but Hoggess avoids them all with ease. Credible swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hoggess walks into a straight right hand from Credible. Credible misses with the combination.
Credible misses with a two punch combination.
Credible throws a left that rocks Hoggess and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Credible dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Hoggess regain composure!
Hoggess is rocked!
It looks like Mr Hoggess has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The ground and pound from Credible seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Hoggess is still in real trouble! Can Credible finish him? Credible lands some shots froms side control. Hoggess should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Hoggess wants to control but Credible postures up. Hoggess seems to have recovered his senses. Hoggess defending against the ground and pound. Credible creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Hoggess sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Credible landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Hoggess sneaks back into half guard. Credible is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoggess keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Credible missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Hoggess looking for submissions off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Credible is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Credible lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Credible stops Hoggess from getting back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Credible looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Hoggess wants to clinch up but Credible keeps it at a distance. Hoggess moves in looking to clinch but Credible pushes him off. Credible throws a right and a left that Hoggess avoids nicely. A punch lands to the side of Hoggess 's head but he takes it in his stride. Credible throws a nice inside leg kick. Hoggess looks gassed! Credible lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hoggess. Credible throws a right and a left that Hoggess avoids nicely. Credible is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Hoggess swings for the body but Credible moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Good shot there by Credible. Credible throws a series of punches but Hoggess avoids them all with ease. Credible lands with a cross. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hoggess. Hoggess drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Credible thuds a left hand into Hoggess's body. Credible lands with a big right hook that stumbles Hoggess - he's out on his feet here! Credible follows up with another monster hook that separates Hoggess from consciousness! Hoggess falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Credible stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
