Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bobby Evans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chris Sands!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sands tries to clinch there but Evans circles away.

Evans has taken the fight to the clinch.
Sands is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Sands tries to pull guard but Evans won't allow it.

Sands jumps guard.
Evans throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Sands not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Sands controlling the position.
Sands controls Evans momentarily but Evans frees himself.
Sands avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Sands working a defensive guard here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sands manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Sands landing strikes, looking to finish!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sands can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Evans is looking to escape.
Evans tries to lock up and control but Sands gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Sands is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Evans defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sands.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Evans misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Sands throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Bobby Evans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Evans closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sands did well to prevent Evans getting side control.
Sands is looking to improve his position.
Evans throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Sands is staying active underneath Evans, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Evans trying to control from Sands's half guard. Sands has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Sands controls Evans momentarily but Evans frees himself.

Sands utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Evans avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Sands looks gassed!
Evans lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Evans wants to control from the top but Sands keeps moving.
Evans with a flurry of punches that miss.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Sands is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Evans rolls with it to try and escape but Sands cranks on the arm and Evans is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
