Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Norman Bates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bates comes to the cage accompanied by Dance Hall Days. Billy Bob has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Norman Bates's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Norman Bates! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Bob! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bates lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Bates looks to land a left hand but Bob moved out of range nicely. Bob tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bates paws at him with a jab and circles away. Bates changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bob looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Bates tries to score with some ground and pound. Bob controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Bates tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bates content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Bob is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bates creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Bob sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Bob wants to get back to his feet. Bates looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Bob is avoiding damage well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. The ground and pound from Bates seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bob on the wrong end of a nice jab. Bob clinches up with Bates and pushes him back against the cage. Bates tries for a takedown but Bob manages to get underhooks.

Bob wants to stand and escape but Bates is having none of it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bates in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Bob wants to get back to his feet but Bates is in a dominant position and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
