Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Genji Takiya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack McHammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takiya comes to the cage accompanied by Boris - Rattlesnake. McHammer has chosen Hammerfall - Heeding the Call as his entrance music. Genji Takiya has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from McHammer.
Takiya lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as McHammer backs up against the cage.
McHammer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Takiya's waist but Takiya gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McHammer off to one side.
Takiya bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Takiya leaves McHammer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

McHammer closes the distance and clinches up with Takiya, looking for a takedown. McHammer pushes Takiya against the cage but Takiya circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Takiya lands a nice looking kick to the body. McHammer takes a step back to recover.
Takiya slaps away a takedown attempt from McHammer, before circling back to the center of the mat.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McHammer shoots for a double leg takedown but Takiya sprawls well. He's pushed McHammer's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
