Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Steve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wes Mimms (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Steve might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to RENEGADE MASTER. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Anthony Taglia and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steve closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Steve lands in his opponent's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mimms is in close to Steve's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Steve has his foot on Mimms's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mimms works his way back into a safe position though.
Mimms drops back looking for a leg! Steve is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Steve manages to kick Mimms off! Mimms jumps back into Steve's guard.

so Steve counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Mimms keeping moving, preventing Steve from controlling successfully.
Steve has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Mimms to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Steve is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Mimms pulls down on the head and he's put Steve to sleep! This one is all over!
