Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brutus Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guru Grepp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brutus Green! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Guru Grepp! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Igor Prikhodko and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Green connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Grepp momentarily.
Grepp bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Green throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Green is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Grepp. Brutus Green seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Grepp drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Grepp scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Grepp tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Grepp has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Grepp is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Green knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Grepp advances to full mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grepp avoids the attempt from Green to control. Green is looking to get to half guard. Grepp goes for an armbar but Green turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Green. Green has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Grepp working for a triangle but Green defends it easily.
Green loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Grepp is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Grepp can do anything to dispel that myth. Grepp looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Grepp is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Green is looking to work some ground and pound but Grepp has wrist control. Grepp wants to sweep here but Green controlling him for the moment. Green passes into half guard. Green wants to lay and pray for a moment but Grepp keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grepp is looking to improve his position.

Green wants to take a breather but Grepp is having none of it. Grepp wants to get back to full guard but Green has passed into side control. Green tries to control but Grepp wriggling away. Grepp is trying desperately to improve position. Grepp is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Green controlling from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Grepp is in all sorts of trouble here.
Green takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Green trying to control but Grepp is having none of it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Grepp really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Brutus Green will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Grepp drops his hands momentarily and Green takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Grepp fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Grepp will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Green will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Grepp. Green can't do much from the bottom here. Grepp goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Green has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Grepp but great work by Green. Green just content to control the position. Grepp is looking to regain half guard here but Green keeps moving and retains side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Green wants to lay and pray for a moment but Grepp keeps working. Grepp is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Green's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Grepp gets back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Green content to stall in guard here. Green trying to control the position from guard on top but Grepp is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Grepp has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Green can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Grepp tries to land a sweep but no joy. Grepp has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Green doesn't defend quickly enough and Grepp has managed to lock this one up! Can Green escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Grepp on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Guru Grepp!
