Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between johan granit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wanderlei Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wanderlei Silva is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva is looking to clinch.
Silva tries to clinch but granit moves out of range.
granit throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease.
granit tries to clinch up.
granit scores with a head kick.
granit shoots for a double leg takedown but Silva sprawls well. He's pushed granit's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Silva tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Silva on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by granit. granit obviously looking to wear him down.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but granit paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Silva shoots and misses
and granit counters with a solid body kick.
Silva tries to clinch up but granit circles away and keeps his distance.
Silva has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Silva there as he acknowledges the shot.
granit swats away the attempt to clinch by Silva.

Silva comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

It looks like johan granit has been cut.
granit fails to pull guard.
granit is looking to break free of the clinch but Silva has double underhooks.
Silva tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Silva lands a damaging elbow.
Silva stalling the fight.
Silva lands an elbow inside that granit shrugs off.
granit tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Silva smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for johan granit. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Silva closes the distance but granit moves to the side
and granit counters with a head kick. That will keep Silva thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Silva looks gassed!

Silva circles away from the clinch attempt.
Silva tries to clinch up but granit circles away and keeps his distance.

granit shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than granit was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Silva is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

You get the feeling that Silva really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Silva throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.

granit lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The referee warns Silva that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
granit can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Silva is looking to escape.

granit is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Silva is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Silva flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. granit anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Silva and secures both hooks! This could be bad! granit slips an arm under Silva chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. granit has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. granit is squeezing on Silva like an anaconda would it's prey. Silva fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
