7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lou Fertit! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zslevski shoots in and drives through. Fertit sprawls well. Fertit fails with an attempt to clinch.
Fertit moves into range and clinches up with Zslevski. Fertit slowing the pace effectively. Fertit has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Zslevski is trying to keep an underhook but Fertit manages to get the takedown into half guard. Zslevski moves into full guard.
Fertit in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Fertit trying to control but Zslevski is working from the bottom. Fertit throws and elbow that misses. Zslevski uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Fertit's guard. Nice move by Zslevski! Fertit looking for a guillotine here but Zslevski defends easily.
Zslevski sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Fertit's guard. Fertit is trying to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zslevski is pressing down on Fertit's thigh, looking to free his foot. Fertit is holding on for now. Zslevski wants to control but Fertit is keeping him busy. Fertit is trying to stand.
Fertit gets full guard. Zslevski works a leg free and moves into half guard. Fertit is staying active underneath Zslevski, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Fertit pushes Zslevski off looking to stand but Zslevski dives back in and keeps control.
Fertit looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Fertit looks gassed! Fertit is trying to get back to full guard. Zslevski has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Fertit defend it? Zslevski steps over the head and cranks it - Fertit is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Zslevski!
