Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Denny Prokopos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clicket Ticket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Prokopos comes to the cage accompanied by Deep River Blues - Doc Watson. Ticket has chosen Pantera Walk as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Denny Prokopos! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Clicket Ticket! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ticket closes the distance and clinches up with Prokopos, looking for a takedown. Ticket pushes Prokopos against the cage but Prokopos circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Prokopos drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Prokopos pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ticket is keeping the position for now. Ticket looking to hit a scissor sweep but Prokopos is one step ahead there. Ticket is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Prokopos trying to control but Ticket is working from the bottom. Prokopos scoring with punches to the head and body. Prokopos trying to control the position from guard on top but Ticket is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Prokopos looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Ticket looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Prokopos digs a good body shot into Ticket's ribs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Prokopos looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Prokopos with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Ticket is trying to get back to full guard. Prokopos is keen to just control but Ticket is a slippery customer. Ticket is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Prokopos pulls his head out easily. Ticket wants to get back to full guard. Ticket is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Prokopos's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Prokopos's back! Ticket looking for the choke from the back. Prokopos trying to control the position but Ticket manages to sink in the hooks. Ticket is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Prokopos knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Prokopos for a finish. Ticket looks gassed! Ticket goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Prokopos turns into him and now he's in Ticket's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ticket is not content to let Prokopos control the position. Prokopos really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Ticket is looking for a sweep. Prokopos tries to move into full mount but can't pass Ticket's legs. Prokopos is trying to get an arm triangle but Ticket is defending well. Ticket is looking to reverse the position. Ticket gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Ticket is desperately trying to improve his position but Prokopos has a good base and remains in mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Prokopos working for a submission but Ticket is keeping him at bay. Ticket has given up his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Prokopos looking to control but Ticket is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Ticket with a lazy takedown attempt and Prokopos counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Ticket! Prokopos can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ticket is looking to escape. Prokopos prevents Ticket from getting the reversal. Prokopos trying to control but Ticket is having none of it. Ticket tries to hold on but Prokopos pushes him away. Ticket is wriggling around trying to escape.

Prokopos wants to control the pace but Ticket is squirming around nicely. Prokopos moves to the back position. Ticket wants to control his opponent's hands but Prokopos gets his hands free. Prokopos doesn't have the hooks in and Ticket manages to turn into his guard.

Ticket trying to control the position from guard on top but Prokopos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ticket stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Prokopos swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Prokopos closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Prokopos lands in his opponent's guard. Ticket is breathing heavily. Ticket escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Prokopos gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Prokopos wants to control from the top but Ticket keeps moving. Ticket working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Prokopos doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Prokopos manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Prokopos stands and throws Ticket's legs to the side, diving into side control. Denny Prokopos overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Prokopos creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Ticket sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Ticket tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Prokopos wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Prokopos wants to control but Ticket is keeping him busy. Ticket is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Ticket is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Prokopos's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Prokopos is looking for a kimura here.
Ticket is not content to let Prokopos control the position. Prokopos looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Ticket moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Prokopos has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Ticket wants to sweep but no luck. Ticket looking to control.

Denny Prokopos dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Prokopos has his takedown stuffed letting Ticket counter with a right hand. Prokopos throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Prokopos thows a body shot but no joy. Prokopos closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ticket did well to prevent Prokopos getting side control. Ticket is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ticket wants to control but Prokopos is keeping busy and won't allow it. Prokopos trying to control the action but Ticket is working from the bottom. Ticket takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Prokopos trying to pass the guard but Ticket defending well.

He's hooked one of Prokopos's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Prokopos's back! Ticket is trying to stick to Prokopos's back but Prokopos is turning into Ticket. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Ticket's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Prokopos. Ticket striking off his back but it's not causing Prokopos any problems. Prokopos trying to control but Ticket is working from the bottom. Ticket manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Prokopos manages to get himself to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Prokopos looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Prokopos looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ticket is one step ahead there. Ticket passes into half guard. Prokopos is in trouble now - Ticket has advanced to mount! Prokopos is desperately trying to improve his position but Ticket has a good base and remains in mount. Prokopos is controlling an arm, preventing Ticket from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ticket punishes Prokopos with strikes from the back mount. Prokopos trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Ticket misses with punches from the back. Ticket looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. Prokopos is controlling Ticket 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard. Prokopos pushes down on Ticket's leg and manages to get into half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Prokopos prevents Ticket from improving his position. Clicket Ticket really dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Prokopos shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ticket's guard. Prokopos won't allow Ticket to sweep him here. Ticket has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Prokopos is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ticket. Ticket is looking for a sweep. Prokopos is putting a hurting on Ticket here, landing some big shots from side control. Prokopos trying to control the position but Ticket is working away. Prokopos blocks the strikes from Ticket.
Prokopos remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Ticket is absolutely dripping with sweat - he looks exhausted. Prokopos's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Ticket can't escape the position.
