Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Shoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hal Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jimmy Shoe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Hal Jordan!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Ackerman and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jordan keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Shoe.
Jordan dodges the punch combination from Shoe.
Shoe throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Jordan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jordan cracks Shoe with a big elbow.
Jordan prevents Shoe from escaping the position.

Jordan is trying to get an arm triangle but Shoe is defending well.

Jordan decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Jordan closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Jimmy Shoe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A punch combination from Shoe misses.

Shoe gets caught flat footed, as Jordan shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Shoe has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Jordan off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Jordan takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Shoe throws a series of punches but Jordan avoids them all with ease.
Shoe thows a body shot but no joy.
Shoe throws a lazy right hand but Jordan sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Shoe loads up on a big right hand but Jordan slips the punch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jordan.
Shoe throws a series of punches but Jordan avoids them all with ease.
Shoe throws a shot from downtown. Jordan moves away and avoids it.
Shoe misses the shot to the body.
Shoe misses with a wild body shot.

Jordan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Shoe wants to stand but Jordan is controlling the position.

Jordan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jordan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Shoe is breathing heavily.
Shoe wants to get back to his feet but Jordan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Jordan stands and steps away. Shoe gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
The fighters circling - Shoe throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Shoe throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Jordan closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jordan throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Jordan stops Shoe from getting back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Jordan decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Jordan closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jordan lands strikes from half guard.

Jordan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Shoe is trying to stand back up but Jordan is controlling him
Jordan wants to take a breather but Shoe is having none of it.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Jordan wants to free his trapped foot but Shoe is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Jordan is working for a kimura but Shoe is defending it quite comfortably.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Jordan wants to pass to mount but Shoe is defending the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Shoe takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Jordan slips a jab and a cross from Shoe.
Shoe fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Jordan feints and as Shoe raises his hands in defense, Jordan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jordan won't allow Shoe to get back to his feet.
Shoe trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Jordan gets to his feet - Shoe follows without any prompting.
Shoe will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hal Jordan dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Jordan looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Jordan prevents Shoe from standing back up.

Shoe manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Shoe misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Shoe throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jordan.
Shoe takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Jordan drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Jordan decides to stand back up. Jordan steps back and let's Shoe get back to his feet.

Jordan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shoe looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jordan working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Jordan decides to stand back up. Jordan steps back and let's Shoe get back to his feet.

Shoe throws a series of punches but Jordan moves out of range.

Jordan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Shoe sprawls well initially but Jordan persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Jordan seems to be working for a kimura but Shoe defends the submission attempt.
Shoe pushes Jordan off looking to stand but Jordan dives back in and keeps control.
Jordan scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Jordan stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Jordan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Shoe is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Jordan stands up and beckons Shoe to his feet.
Shoe waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jordan.

Shoe gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jordan to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Shoe is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jordan is controlling him.

Jordan stands up from Shoe's guard - Jordan perhaps looking for a knockout.

Shoe gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Jordan would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Jordan in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hal Jordan has got the better of the ground game so far.

Jordan gets to his feet. Shoe looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Shoe throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Shoe looks to score with a jab to the body but Jordan is just out of range.
Shoe misses with a jab, cross combination.

Jordan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Shoe is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jordan is controlling him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jordan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Hal Jordan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Shoe tries to bum rush Jordan with a series of wild strikes but Jordan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Jordan shoots for a takedown but Shoe saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shoe takes a swing at Jordan's ribcage but misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Shoe. Jordan does a little dance to reset his feet.

Jordan stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Shoe to get to his feet.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jordan lands a nice short elbow.

Jordan stands up and beckons Shoe to join him on the feet.
Shoe misses with a few strikes there.
Shoe lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jordan circles away quickly and effectively.
Shoe is looking to wear down Jordan with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Jordan shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shoe wants to get back to his feet.

Jordan is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Shoe tries to kick Jordan off but Jordan keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Jordan connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Jordan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

I've got Jordan winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
