The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Reid. Dinosaur feints and as Reid raises his hands in defense, Dinosaur changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Reid wants to sweep here but Dinosaur controlling him for the moment. Dinosaur might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Reid is working an open guard so Dinosaur takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Reid shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Dinosaur counters with a thumping low kick. Dinosaur throws a head kick that misses. Dinosaur tries to clinch up. Reid with a lazy takedown attempt and Dinosaur counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Reid's guard now. Dinky Dinosaur has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Reid. Dinosaur wanted to stand there but Reid had control of the position. Reid tries to strike from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dinosaur pushes down on Reid's leg and manages to get into half guard. Dinosaur moves into full mount! Reid won't be happy about that! The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Dinosaur controlling his opponent. Reid wants to hold on but Dinosaur pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. BOOM! Dinosaur connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Dinosaur sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Dinosaur working for a guillotine from mount but Reid is in no mood to give up. Dinosaur controlling his opponent. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reid is looking to get to half guard. Dinosaur working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Dinosaur prevents Reid from getting the reversal. Dinosaur is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Reid has managed to escape the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Dinosaur sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Reid keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Dinosaur looking to control but Reid is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reid shoots and misses and Dinosaur decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Reid's guard. Dinosaur is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Dinosaur wants to control from the top but Reid keeps moving. Reid really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dinosaur. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Dinosaur is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Dinosaur seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Reid for as long as he can get away with.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Dinky Dinosaur just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Reid tries for a takedown but Dinosaur circles away easily and Dinosaur counters with a single leg into guard. Reid didn't expect that. Dinosaur passes Reid's left leg - he's now in half guard. Dinosaur is figuring out what he wants to do next. Reid wants to get back to full guard but Dinosaur has passed into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dinosaur gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Reid shoots and misses so Dinosaur counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Dinky Dinosaur has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Reid. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Reid looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dinosaur is one step ahead there. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dinosaur seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dinky Dinosaur overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Dinosaur stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reid swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dinosaur advances position into side control! Dinosaur stands up and we're back to a striking position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Reid fails with the takedown and Dinosaur counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Dinosaur. Reid is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Reid looking for a sweep. Not yet Reid, not yet. Dinosaur is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Reid can do to turn this around? Dinosaur is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Reid has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Dinosaur has passed into side control.

Dinosaur takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Reid tries to get back to half guard but can't. Reid is trying desperately to improve position. Dinosaur get's back to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Dinosaur tries to clinch but Reid moves out of range. Reid shoots and misses and Dinosaur counters with a nice double leg into guard. Reid keeping moving, preventing Dinosaur from controlling successfully.

Dinosaur trying to control the position from guard on top but Reid is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dinosaur controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
