Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adamska Richek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juno Ku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richek fails to land with a series of punches.
Richek dives in and grabs Ku's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ku pushes down on Richek's head and hops out.
Richek avoids the body shot from Ku.
Ku comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Richek throws out a loose jab but Ku uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ku misses with an uppercut.
Richek fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Richek fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ku avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adamska Richek. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ku lands a jab.

It looks like Adamska Richek has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ku lands a body shot.
Richek throws a hook but Ku blocks it.

Ku catches Richek napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Richek to the canvas!

Richek is breathing heavily.
Richek is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Oh Richek is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Ku stands up and waves to Richek to follow him.
Richek seems to have got his legs back now.
Ku loads up on a big right hand but Richek slips the punch.
The fighters circling - Ku throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Richek closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Richek avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Richek throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ku sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Richek closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ku did well to prevent Richek getting side control.
Ku is looking to escape.

Richek thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Ku to regain full guard.

Richek has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ku wants to get back to his feet but Richek is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Richek gets to his feet. Ku looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Ku misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Richek.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Richek slips a jab from Ku.

Ku cracks Richek with an uppercut from hell and Richek crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Ku's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Richek wants to get back to his feet but Ku is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Richek on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Richek tries to get out of the position.

Ku stands and steps away. Richek gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Juno Ku dominated that round.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Ku cracks Richek with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Richek tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Ku pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Richek is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
