Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Allu Kolli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephen James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Allu Kolli! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stephen James! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kolli dives in and grabs James's left leg, looking for a takedown. James pushes down on Kolli's head and hops out. James clinches. James manages to pull guard.
Kolli is standing up over James. James looks to escape but Kolli dives into side control.
James is trying to buck Kolli off. Kolli trying to control the action but James is working from the bottom. James wants to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kolli wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by James, who protects the arm well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kolli is looking to take a break and control but James is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kolli tries to advance to mount but can't.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by James.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. James gets a clinch. James tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kolli smiles and moves away.

James wants the takedown. Kolli is fighting it off but James persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Kolli's guard against the cage. James scoring with punches to the head and body. Kolli looking to sweep here. No luck so far. James trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. James lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. James thows a big elbow that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kolli swivels though and keeps the full guard. James is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. James with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. James won't allow Kolli to get back to his feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kolli throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. James looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Kolli is breathing heavily. James trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. James missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. James postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kolli throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Kolli looking for a sweep. Not yet Kolli, not yet. James stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kolli swivels though and keeps the full guard. James working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. James shoots in and bounces Kolli off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stephen James dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Kolli wants to clinch up but James keeps it at a distance. James shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than James was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Kolli can't escape the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. James breaks from Kolli's wrist control and lands an elbow.

James avoids the attempt from Kolli to control. Kolli slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Kolli slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. James tries to free his leg and advance position but Kolli is retaining full guard. James throws a big right hand that misses. James throws and elbow that misses. Kolli uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in James's guard. Nice move by Kolli! James really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kolli. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kolli trying to control the position from guard on top but James is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. James wants to stand up but Kolli is controlling him.

James kicks Kolli off and gets back to his feet. Kolli stuffs the takedown attempt from James. James gets slowly back to his feet. Kolli fails in his attempt to clinch. James closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - James lands in his opponent's guard. James avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Kolli uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in James's guard. Nice move by Kolli! James wants to stand and escape but Kolli is having none of it. James keeping full guard, as Kolli tries to pass. James wants to get back to his feet but Kolli is in a dominant position and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stephen James showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

James shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kolli manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. James must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kolli has momentary wrist control but James slips an elbow through the middle.

The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kolli looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kolli! James is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Kolli is controlling him well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kolli trying to control the position but James is working away. Kolli wants to stand but James is controlling his arm. Kolli wants to control but James is keeping him busy. James is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Kolli wants to stand but James has his arm trapped.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kolli is looking to take a break and control but James is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kolli looking to punish the body of his opponent here but James is avoiding damage well.
Allu Kolli has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kolli with a poor takedown and James counters with a nice double leg into guard. Stephen James is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Allu Kolli. That's going to take a lot out of him. James tries to free his leg and advance position but Kolli is retaining full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Stephen James comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well James has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
