The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith misses with a few strikes there.
Crunch! Makhdoom slams his shin into Smith's torso.
Makhdoom lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Patrick Smith has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Makhdoom lands the left hand.
Makhdoom fails to land the takedown.
Smith swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Makhdoom explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Smith looks gassed!
Makhdoom thumps Smith with a low kick.
Makhdoom cracks Smith with an uppercut from hell and Smith crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Makhdoom's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Smith is rocked!
Makhdoom loads up on a big left hand. Smith felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Makhdoom looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Smith can't hide his disappointment, as Makhdoom celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Omar Makhdoom!
