Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, BJJ Submaster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, michael duncan!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Submaster is looking to clinch but duncan is avoiding it.
Submaster fails with an attempt to clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from duncan.
duncan throws a right hand that Submaster ducks under and follows up with a left that Submaster also avoids with ease.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
duncan keeps the fight on the outside.
Submaster tries to clinch but duncan moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
duncan keeps the fight on the outside.
duncan shoots in for a takedown but Submaster shows good takedown defense.
Submaster rushes duncan and presses him up against the cage.
Submaster prevents the takedown attempt.
BJJ Submaster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of michael duncan.
duncan breaks from the clinch.
duncan takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
duncan looks to land a combination but Submaster avoids it well.
Submaster wants to clinch up but duncan keeps it at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Submaster tries to close the distance and clinch but duncan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Submaster darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Submaster is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Submaster is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. duncan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Submaster.
duncan wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Submaster is working for a submission of some sort.
duncan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Submaster is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Submaster passes the guard and advances to mount!
duncan is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Submaster locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! duncan is forced to tap!
