Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Emmaneul McLovin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tony Soprano! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Alyssa Summers and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McLovin clinches. McLovin prevents the takedown attempt.
McLovin gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Soprano regains guard.
McLovin trying to stand up but can't free himself from Soprano's guard. McLovin trying to control the position from guard on top but Soprano is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. McLovin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Soprano on the ground. McLovin trying to stand up but can't free himself from Soprano's guard. McLovin wants to control from the top but Soprano keeps moving. Soprano throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
McLovin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Soprano keeping moving, preventing McLovin from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Soprano working a defensive guard here.
McLovin trying to stand up but can't free himself from Soprano's guard. McLovin trying to control but Soprano is working from the bottom. McLovin looking to pass the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McLovin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. McLovin scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Soprano looks gassed! McLovin tries to land a front kick but Soprano steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. McLovin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Soprano will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Soprano is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! McLovin has his hands clasped together but Soprano extends an breaks McLovin's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Soprano.
