Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Oscar Pidre! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Daniel Love! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Love shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Love is thwarting Pidre's attempts to control the position. Love content to control rather than advance. Love tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Pidre. Love decides to return to a standing position. Love is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Pidre fails with the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pidre closes the distance and clinches. Pidre is trying to drag Love to the mat but Love just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Love wants a takedown but no success here.
Pidre wants to break free but Love has control.
Pidre decides to pull guard. Love gets to his feet - Pidre follows without any prompting. No luck for Love with that takedown attempt. Pidre on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Love misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Love scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
It looks like Oscar Pidre has been cut. Pidre has his takedown stuffed and Love counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pidre won't be happy with that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oscar Pidre. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pidre is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Love stands up and we're back to a striking position. Love has closed the distance and engaged Pidre in a clinch.
Pidre drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Pidre wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Love has him pressed against the cage. Love is pressed up against the cage. Pidre has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Love down to the mat. Love avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Love looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Pidre! Love is in the full mount, landing strikes. Love takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Love looking to secure an arm triangle but Pidre defends it well. Love looking to control and managing it successfully. Love lands with some strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Pidre wants to try and get back to his feet. Love working for a guillotine from mount but Pidre is in no mood to give up. Pidre really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Love controlling from the full mount. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Love scores with a takedown into Pidre's guard. Love not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Pidre working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Love doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Love manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Love with a nice head shot there. Pidre working a defensive guard but Love passes into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pidre has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Love is working away from the top position though. Pidre is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Love's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Oscar Pidre is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Pidre avoids the head kick by Love.
Pidre moves out of range as Love throws a body kick.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Love pulls guard effortlessly. Love looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Love pushes Pidre off and scrambles back to his feet.

This has been an exciting period of action! Love shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Love is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Pidre thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Love controlling from the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Love has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Love stands up and waves to Pidre to follow him. Love closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pidre to the mat! Pidre manages to get full guard. Love wants to control from the top but Pidre keeps moving. Love controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Love sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Pidre's guard. Love stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Love closes the distance and clinches. Love working some nice short punches in the clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Love gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Love controlling the action here. Pidre is looking to control Love's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pidre avoid being mounted? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Love showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Oscar Pidre's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Love lands with a kick to the temple. Pidre shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Pidre shoots and misses and Love counters with a head kick that drops Pidre to the mat! Pidre scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Pidre is rocked! Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Love throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Pidre is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
