The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Biber wants to clinch up but Bagaric keeps it at a distance.
Bagaric scores with a punch to the head.

Biber bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Bagaric is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Bagaric prevents Biber from moving into mount.
Bagaric manages to get back to half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Bagaric tries to close the distance and clinch up but Biber swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Biber throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Biber lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

It looks like Dusko Bagaric has been cut.
Bagaric tries to close the distance and clinch but Biber swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bagaric gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Biber.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Biber closes the distance and pushes Bagaric back into the cage.

Biber shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Biber wants to control from the top but Bagaric keeps moving.

Bagaric had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Biber defends it easily.

Bagaric has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Biber is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Bagaric.
Bagaric is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Biber has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Biber stands up and beckons Bagaric to his feet.

Biber looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bagaric is fending him off so far but Biber persists. Nope, Bagaric circles away and we're back to standing.

Bagaric bucks up and throws Biber to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

Biber throws the kick towards the body but Bagaric avoids it.

and Biber makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Bagaric doesn't manage to clinch there - Biber circles away.

Bagaric moves into the clinch.
Bagaric looking to throw knees to the head but Biber is blocking nicely.
Bagaric with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bagaric tries to pull guard but Biber won't allow it.

Biber has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bagaric uses from the top position.
Bagaric has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Biber is proving hard to escape from.

Bagaric drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Biber is looking to reverse the position.

Bagaric decides to stand back up. Bagaric steps back and let's Biber get back to his feet.
Biber shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bagaric but Bagaric pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bagaric closes the distance but Biber moves to the side

and Biber counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Biber is stalling here. Bagaric is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Biber seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Bagaric has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bagaric decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Biber doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Bagaric counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Biber's guard now.

Biber is looking to sinch up a triangle. Bagaric throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Biber's body to avoid the submission. Biber has instead reached around Bagaric's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Biber arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
