Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Davis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Slice! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis leaves Slice with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Davis defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Slice. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Davis, right into the meat.
Davis with a poor takedown and Slice counters with a nice leg kick. Slice stuffs the takedown attempt from Davis. Davis gets slowly back to his feet. A bone on bone clash there as Slice blocks the leg kick.
Slice thumps Davis with a low kick. Davis with a body punch. A glancing blow. Davis scores a takedown into full mount! Davis controlling from the full mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slice is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Davis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Slice is looking to escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Davis tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Davis wants to control the pace but Slice is squirming around nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Davis swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Slice is now in Davis's guard. A big mistake from Davis there, giving up the dominant position! Slice won't allow Davis to sweep him here. Davis looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Slice puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Davis is positioning himself well to prevent Slice advancing to mount. Davis is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Slice has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Davis tries to reverse the position but Slice maintains control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Slice sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Poor strikes thrown by Slice there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Davis is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Davis dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Davis throws a sloppy head kick and Slice moves out of range easily. Left hook, right uppercut from Davis. Slice shoots and misses and Davis counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Slice is looking to improve his position.
Davis is controlling the pace.
Davis throws a strike but Slice avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis is looking to stand up but Slice won't let him. Davis stays in close to Slice's body and controls the position. Slice is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Slice wants to take a breather but Davis is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Slice prevents Davis from improving his position. Davis is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Slice pulls his head out easily. Davis is trying to control but Slice passes into side control!
Davis is looking for a sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Davis tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Slice counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Davis pushes Slice off looking to stand but Slice dives back in and keeps control.
Davis looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Slice pushes past his half guard into mount! Slice looking to control but Davis is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Slice thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Davis tries to hold on but Slice postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Davis throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Slice. Davis shoots and misses and Slice counters with a single leg into guard. Davis didn't expect that. Slice trying to control but Davis is working from the bottom. Slice got a little sloppy there for a moment and Davis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Slice has managed to get both his arms back between Davis's legs - danger averted. Davis avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis controls Slice momentarily but Slice frees himself. John Slice has got the better of the ground game so far. Slice is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Slice thows a big elbow that misses. Davis is looking to sweep but instead, Slice has passed into half guard.
Slice is looking to take a break and control but Davis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Slice shoots and misses and Davis counters with a nice double leg into guard. Davis trying to control the position from guard on top but Slice is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Davis trying to stand up but can't free himself from Slice's guard. Slice is trying to keep Davis in close.
Davisis looking to pass into half guard but Slice pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Slice is in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slice trying to control the position from guard on top but Davis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Slice sitting in guard here, content to control. Davis pulls Slice in close to prevent any damage. Davis looking to hit a scissor sweep but Slice is one step ahead there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Davis controlling the position. Slice controls from within his opponent's guard. Slice postures up in Davis's guard and throws a big left but Davis blocks it.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Peter Davis. Well Davis has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
