Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ethan Van Vactor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ty Webb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Webb is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I'm Alright. Ty Webb is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

8 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ty Webb! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Van Vactor throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Van Vactor is looking to clinch but Webb is avoiding it.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Webb. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Van Vactor tries to escape but Webb is in control. Van Vactor trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Webb trying to control the action but Van Vactor is working from the bottom. Webb wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Van Vactor, who protects the arm well. Webb working the head with strikes. Webb goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Van Vactor has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Webb but great work by Van Vactor.
That's one minute gone in the round. Webb is trying to get back to half guard. Van Vactor really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Van Vactor wants to control but Webb is keeping him busy. Van Vactor decides to take the fight back to the feet. Webb looks gassed! Van Vactor is looking to clinch. Van Vactor throws a head kick that misses. Webb misses with a takedown attempt - Van Vactor sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Van Vactor fails with an attempt to clinch.

Van Vactor tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Webb paws at him with a jab and circles away. Van Vactor pulls out of a head kick attempt.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Webb. Van Vactor wants to clinch but Webb slips to the side and Webb counters with a single leg into guard. Van Vactor didn't expect that.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Van Vactor is looking to stand up but Webb isn't so interested in that idea. Webb drops back, looking for a kneebar! Van Vactor looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Van Vactor looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Van Vactor! Van Vactor wants to stand but Webb has his arm trapped. Van Vactor has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Webb is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Van Vactor yanks on the arm and Webb is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Van Vactor.
