Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Burton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Battery Maximus!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burton swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Maximus throws a sloppy head kick and Burton moves out of range easily.
Maximus defending well as Burton loads up on a big left hand.
Burton scores with the left hand. Maximus knows he should have avoided that one.
It looks like Battery Maximus has been cut.
Maximus fails to land with a series of punches.
Maximus misses with a double jab.
Burton scores with a punch to the head.
Burton drops Maximus with a right and a left! Burton comes rushing in but Maximus regains his composure and manages to keep Burton in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Burton is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Maximus keeping moving, preventing Burton from controlling successfully.
Burton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Maximus avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Burton wants to control from the top but Maximus keeps moving.
Burton stops Maximus from standing up.
Burton postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Burton is looking to work some ground and pound but Maximus has wrist control.
Burton wants to pass the guard but Maximus is keeping the position.
Maximus wants to stand and escape but Burton is having none of it.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Maximus takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Burton cracks a nice hook into Maximus's ribs.
Burton lands with a shot to the body.

Burton throws a sloppy head kick and Maximus moves out of range easily.
Burton clobbers Maximus with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Maximus takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Burton lands a jab to Maximus's midsection.
Burton lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Maximus at a distance.
Maximus takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Burton lands a nice leg kick that just misses Maximus's sensitive parts.
Maximus takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Burton throws a head kick but Maximus moves out of range.
Burton lands a nice shot to the body.

A cross from Burton lands.
That has opened up Battery Maximus's cut even more.
Burton misses with the combination.
Burton thuds a left hand into Maximus's body.
Burton feints and then cracks Maximus's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Maximus down.
Burton is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Maximus's half guard.
Maximus keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Burton stops Maximus from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Maximus avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Burton.
Burton not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Burton seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Maximus does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Burton is trying for a kimura here. Maximus looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Burton wins by kimura!
