Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rodney Bagcal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Qwicky McFeet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Qwicky McFeet!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bagcal misses with a jab, cross combination.

Bagcal clinches up with McFeet and pushes him back against the cage.

Bagcal breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McFeet shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bagcal sprawls well. Bagcal wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McFeet gets slowly back to his feet.
Bagcal stuffs the takedown.
Bagcal will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Bagcal shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bagcal showed some decent athleticism there.

McFeet looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
McFeet trying to control from the bottom.
Bagcal looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks McFeet with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Bagcal seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McFeet does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Bagcal has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bagcal misses with a series of wild punches.
Bagcal tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
No luck for McFeet with that takedown attempt.
Rodney Bagcal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Qwicky McFeet.

Bagcal feints and as McFeet raises his hands in defense, Bagcal changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Bagcal leaves McFeet with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

McFeet tries to close the distance and clinch but Bagcal swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

McFeet gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bagcal to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bagcal drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bagcal jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as McFeet holds on and takes a little breather.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bagcal accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Bagcal thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
McFeet is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
McFeet looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bagcal is fending him off so far but McFeet persists. Nope, Bagcal circles away and we're back to standing.

Bagcal shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McFeet's guard.
McFeet has a closed guard, preventing Bagcal from standing up.
McFeet is pulling down on Bagcal's head. It's preventing any offense from Bagcal, at least for the moment.
McFeet keeping moving, preventing Bagcal from controlling successfully.

Bagcal is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
You can see the frustration on McFeet's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Bagcal is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but McFeet is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

McFeet manages to work his way to half guard, despite Bagcal's best efforts.

Bagcal is keen to just control but McFeet is a slippery customer.

Bagcal is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McFeet is just riding it out for now. Bagcal eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Bagcal postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for McFeet to stand up.
Bagcal throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McFeet fails with the takedown

and Bagcal counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bagcal.

Bagcal is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. McFeet can't fight it off and eventually Bagcal manages to take the fight to the floor. McFeet looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Bagcal throws a strike but McFeet rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McFeet slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

McFeet is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bagcal knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

McFeet stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bagcal swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bagcal drops back, looking for a kneebar! McFeet looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. McFeet looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from McFeet!

McFeet in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

McFeet decides to stand back up.
McFeet shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bagcal tries to clinch but McFeet is having none of it.

Rodney Bagcal is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
McFeet falls off balance throwing a combination
and Bagcal counters with a good low kick that McFeet was not able to check.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rodney Bagcal.
Well Bagcal has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
