Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rennet Greyven!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Roger Motta!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice jab there from Motta.
Greyven tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Motta is able to avoid easily.
Motta scores with a jab. Greyven acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Greyven pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Greyven just misses with a punch to the body.
Greyven misses with a head kick.
Greyven takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Greyven pivots, looking for a leg kick but Motta is out of range and Greyven settles back down.
Motta lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Greyven moves out of range as Motta strikes.
Motta tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Greyven swivels and escapes.
Motta connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
A telegraphed right hand from Motta misses the target.
Greyven misses with a low kick.
Roger Motta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Motta smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Motta throws a series of punches but Greyven avoids them all with ease.
Greyven throws a chopping leg kick but Motta manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Greyven looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Greyven fakes the leg kick and cracks Motta in the body.
Greyven throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Roger Motta has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Greyven sends Motta crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Greyven is motioning to the referee to let Motta up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Motta is rocked!
Motta looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Motta chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Greyven can pounce on him.
Motta is still on wobbly legs! Can Greyven finish him?
Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Greyven! This one is all over!
