Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mitchell Joseph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcos Ruaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruaz comes into a darkened arena with his song building. My Unborn - Tupac kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Mitchell Joseph had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mitchell Joseph! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcos Ruaz! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ruaz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ruaz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Joseph decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Joseph seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ruaz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Ruaz pushes Joseph off looking to stand but Joseph dives back in and keeps control.
Joseph wants to stand but Ruaz has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Ruaz tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Joseph manages to move to mount!
Joseph won't let Ruaz get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Joseph tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Ruaz is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Ruaz looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Joseph throwing strikes here but Ruaz is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Joseph thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Joseph punching from mount but Ruaz doing a good job of avoiding damage. Joseph lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Ruaz hang on? Ruaz trying desperately to get to his feet.
Joseph dominating with strikes here. Joseph thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Joseph throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Ruaz holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Joseph tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Joseph takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Joseph lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Ruaz wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Ruaz bucks Joseph off and manages to get back to his feet! Joseph dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Ruaz. That did some damage! Joseph lands a left and a right that send Ruaz crashing to the mat, dazed. Joseph thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Marcos Ruaz has been cut. Joseph drives through with a takedown into guard. Joseph decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Joseph throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Ruaz stumbling backwards into the cage! Ruaz bounces back off the cage towards Joseph, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Joseph lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Joseph celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Mitchell Joseph!
