Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vitor Belfort! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chuck Liddell! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Thiago Cunha and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Liddell ducks under a wild hook from Belfort. Liddell slips under a jab from Belfort. Liddell jabs Belfort right on the nose. Belfort blinks but takes it well.
It looks like Vitor Belfort has been cut. Belfort getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
It looks like Chuck Liddell has been cut. Jab by Belfort. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Belfort feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Liddell sprawling to the canvas! Liddell rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Belfort finish him?!
Liddell is rocked! Belfort misses with the combination.
Liddell is still on wobbly legs! Can Belfort finish him? Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Liddell misses with a hook. Belfort ducked under it nicely. Liddell seems to have recovered his senses. Belfort fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Belfort keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Liddell. Belfort throws a right hand that Liddell ducks under and follows up with a left that Liddell also avoids with ease. Belfort throws a nice looking combination but Liddell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Belfort misses with an uppercut. Liddell saw that one coming. Liddell tries to bum rush Belfort with a series of wild strikes but Belfort uses good footwork to avoid the assault. No joy there for Belfort, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Belfort throws a hook but Liddell avoids it easily. Belfort shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Liddell throws a right and a left that Belfort avoids nicely. Liddell swinging wildly here.

Belfort keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Belfort throws an overhand right that drops Liddell like a sack of potatoes! Belfort dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
