Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Seryogin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ivan Steel is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Steel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, George Seryogin! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Valeri Chadov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel stuffs the takedown. Steel looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Steel moves into the clinch. Seryogin has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Steel avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Seryogin is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Ivan Steel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Seryogin. Steel misses with a knee to the head. Seryogin changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Steel fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Seryogin shoots in for a takedown but Steel shows good takedown defense. Seryogin shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Steel defends it nicely. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Seryogin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Steel avoids it really well and circles away. Seryogin avoids a punch combination nicely.
Steel slaps away a takedown attempt from Seryogin, before circling back to the center of the mat. Seryogin dodges the punch combination from Steel.
Seryogin shoots in and drives through. Steel sprawls well. No luck for Seryogin with that takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Seryogin fails with the takedown. Steel keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Steel moves into range and clinches up with Seryogin. Seryogin is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Steel stops a takedown attempt from Seryogin.
Seryogin is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Steel pulls him back up using the underhooks. Seryogin can't get the takedown.

Steel jumps guard but Seryogin stands there with Steel around his waist. Steel gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Steel throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Seryogin blocks it with crossed arms. Steel works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Steel is looking to stand up but Seryogin won't let him.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Steel wants to control from the top but Seryogin keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Steel wants to stand but Seryogin has a closed guard, so he can't escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ivan Steel dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Seryogin fails with the takedown. Seryogin fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Seryogin shoots for a double leg takedown but Steel sprawls well. He's pushed Seryogin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Ivan Steel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Seryogin. Steel shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Seryogin is trying to defend but Steel finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Steel takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steel seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Steel is keen to just control but Seryogin is a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Seryogin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Steel is working away from the top position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Seryogin is staying active underneath Steel, who seems content to just control the action from this position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ivan Steel dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Seryogin has his takedown stuffed and Steel counters with a two punch combo. Seryogin drives through with a takedown into guard. Seryogin wants to control from the top but Steel keeps moving. Seryogin sitting in guard, not really doing much. Seryogin should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Despite being in the dominant position, George Seryogin just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Steel tries to clinch there but Seryogin circles away.
Seryogin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Seryogin shoots in but no luck this time. Ivan Steel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Seryogin. Steel lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Seryogin. Seryogin shoots for a takedown but Steel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Seryogin fails with the takedown. Steel looks to land a combination but Seryogin avoids it well. Seryogin shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Steel defends it nicely. Steel keeps Seryogin at a distance using the push kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Seryogin feints and as Steel raises his hands in defense, Seryogin changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Steel keeping moving, preventing Seryogin from controlling successfully. Seryogin being controlled here momentarily. Seryogin trying to control but Steel is working from the bottom. Steel looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Seryogin trying to control the position from guard on top but Steel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Steel looking for a sweep. Not yet Steel, not yet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Seryogin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Steel circles away. Steel fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Seryogin sprawls well initially but Steel persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Seryogin is trying to control but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Steel performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to George Seryogin. Well Steel has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
