Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oleg Mirchoffski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dimitri Vasolajev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vasolajev has chosen Drowning Pool - Bodies as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Oleg Mirchoffski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dimitri Vasolajev! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mirchoffski shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vasolajev as he avoids it easily. Mirchoffski misses with the combination.
Mirchoffski feints and as Vasolajev raises his hands in defense, Mirchoffski changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Mirchoffski postures up.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Mirchoffski trying to control the position from guard on top but Vasolajev is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mirchoffski chips away with some ground and pound. Mirchoffski showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Vasolajev keeping moving, preventing Mirchoffski from controlling successfully. Vasolajev throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mirchoffski trying to control but Vasolajev is working from the bottom. Vasolajev is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mirchoffski wants to control from the top but Vasolajev keeps moving. Vasolajev is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Mirchoffski postures up and lands a big shot to Vasolajev's brow. Mirchoffski trying to control but Vasolajev is working from the bottom. Vasolajev scrambles and gets back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vasolajev moves in looking to clinch but Mirchoffski pushes him off. Vasolajev shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Mirchoffski counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Vasolajev's guard now. Mirchoffski wants to stand but Vasolajev has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Mirchoffski decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Vasolajev, up you get! Vasolajev lands with an uppercut that bounces Mirchoffski off the ropes and back into rage. Mirchoffski shoots for a double leg takedown but Vasolajev sprawls well. He's pushed Mirchoffski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Mirchoffski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mirchoffski drives through with a takedown into guard. Mirchoffski is breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Vasolajev is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Vasolajev controls Mirchoffski momentarily but Mirchoffski frees himself. Vasolajev had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mirchoffski is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Vasolajev Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mirchoffski's back instead. Vasolajev is hanging on to Mirchoffski's back as he tries to escape.
Mirchoffski breaks Vasolajev's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mirchoffski wants to get back to his feet.
Mirchoffski is looking to advance position but Vasolajev won't allow it. Mirchoffski lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Mirchoffski missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Mirchoffski seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Vasolajev does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Mirchoffski stops Vasolajev from getting back to his feet.
Mirchoffski wants to control but Vasolajev is keeping him busy. Mirchoffski working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Vasolajev avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Mirchoffski. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oleg Mirchoffski dominated that round. That's time! Mirchoffski's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Mirchoffski shoots and misses and Vasolajev counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Mirchoffski misses with a takedown attempt letting Vasolajev counter with a right hand. Vasolajev scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Vasolajev goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Mirchoffski shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Vasolajev as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oleg Mirchoffski. That's going to take a lot out of him. A combination from Vasolajev does no damage. Vasolajev wants to clinch and Mirchoffski counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Vasolajev is looking to control Mirchoffski's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Vasolajev avoid being mounted? Mirchoffski trying to pass the guard but Vasolajev defending well. Mirchoffski lands strikes from half guard. Mirchoffski is looking to pass Vasolajev's guard but actually Vasolajev recovers to full guard. Mirchoffski loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vasolajev not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Mirchoffski looking to sit in guard and control but Vasolajev gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Mirchoffski wants to hit a switch here but Vasolajev passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Mirchoffski there! Vasolajev can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mirchoffski is looking to escape. Vasolajev gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Mirchoffski with a lazy takedown attempt and Vasolajev counters with a nice uppercut. Mirchoffski shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mirchoffski showed some decent athleticism there. Vasolajev has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mirchoffski is working away from the top position though. Vasolajev tries to roll over but Mirchoffski keeps him under control. Vasolajev keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Mirchoffski throwing shots but Vasolajev is blocking nicely. Mirchoffski looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Mirchoffski is just content to waste time from the top position. Vasolajev takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Mirchoffski throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mirchoffski trying to control the position from guard on top but Vasolajev is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Vasolajev pushes Mirchoffski off and scrambles back to his feet.

Vasolajev trying to control but he's not successful this time. Mirchoffski on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mirchoffski tries to get out of the position. Mirchoffski bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Mirchoffski has gone for a leg lock! Vasolajev slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mirchoffski's guard. Mirchoffski has a closed guard, preventing Vasolajev from standing up.

Vasolajev trying to control but Mirchoffski is working from the bottom. Vasolajev won't allow Mirchoffski to get back to his feet. Mirchoffski working a defensive guard but Vasolajev passes into half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Vasolajev prevents Mirchoffski from improving his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dimitri Vasolajev showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Mirchoffski shoots and misses and Mirchoffski takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Mirchoffski avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Vasolajev wants to control but Mirchoffski is having none of it. Vasolajev blocking the ground and pound. Mirchoffski can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Vasolajev is looking to escape. Vasolajev is desperately trying to improve his position but Mirchoffski has a good base and remains in mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mirchoffski throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Vasolajev because Mirchoffski loaded up on that one. Vasolajev takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Mirchoffski lands a big shot there that rocks Vasolajev but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Vasolajev is rocked! Mirchoffski lands a big elbow. Vasolajev is still in real trouble! Can Mirchoffski finish him? Mirchoffski lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

It looks like Dimitri Vasolajev has been cut. Mirchoffski pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Mirchoffski postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Vasolajev looks a forlorn figure.
That has opened up Dimitri Vasolajev's cut even more. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mirchoffski is landing with some decent strikes but Vasolajev is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Mirchoffski lands a big elbow.
Dimitri Vasolajev's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Dimitri Vasolajev's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
