Alexander's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, do da stankey leg. The clap is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Dope boyz. derek The clap will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, derek The clap! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Hirohito Nitta and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The clap shoots for a takedown but Alexander saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Alexander swings for the body but The clap moves out of range.
The clap throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Alexander has The clap up against the cage in a clinch.
The clap successfully pulls guard.
Alexander throws a strike but The clap rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Alexander keeping moving, preventing The clap from controlling successfully. Alexander trying to control the position.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Alexander feints and as The clap raises his hands in defense, Alexander changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Alexander throws a big right hand that misses. Alexander loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Alexander is looking to stand up but The clap won't let him. Alexander wants to control from the top but The clap keeps moving. Alexander postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Alexander decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Alexander wants to control but The clap is keeping him busy. Alexander lands strikes from half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alexander is trying to escape and get back to his feet. You can see the frustration on Alexander's face as The clap controls the position. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Alexander shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has The clap pinned against the cage. The clap gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Urijiah Alexander is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Alexander throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Alexander throws a sloppy head kick and The clap moves out of range easily. Alexander throws a lazy head kick and The clap counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Alexander tries to control but The clap wriggling away. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Alexander decides to stand and escape the position. The clap clinches with his opponent.
