Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mkat Twilight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Vitalis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexander Vitalis will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mkat Twilight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Fedor Mirinova and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vitalis tries to clinch up but Twilight circles away and keeps his distance.
Vitalis takes a swing at Twilight's ribcage but misses.
Vitalis tries to clinch but Twilight moves out of range.
Vitalis throws a series of punches but Twilight moves out of range.
Vitalis stuns Twilight with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Twilight darts in and clinches Vitalis up against the cage.
Vitalis is trying to break the clinch but Twilight has him pressed against the cage.
Twilight tries to pull guard but Vitalis won't allow it.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Twilight creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Vitalis seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Twilight is looking for a sweep. Vitalis is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Vitalis scores with a one two! Twilight had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Vitalis gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Twilight counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Twilight postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Twilight is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Twilight stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vitalis swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Twilight prevents Vitalis from getting back to his feet.
Twilight postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Vitalis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Vitalis is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Vitalis is breathing heavily.

Twilight trying to control but Vitalis is working from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Vitalis throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Twilight fails to land the takedown.
Vitalis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Twilight sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Vitalis somewhat.

Mkat Twilight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexander Vitalis.
Vitalis has Twilight pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Twilight manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Twilight lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Vitalis backwards.
Twilight goes for a takedown attempt but Vitalis pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Vitalis gets caught flat footed, as Twilight shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Twilight drops back, looking for a kneebar! Vitalis looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Vitalis looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Vitalis!
Vitalis misses with the ground and pound.
Vitalis decides to stand up, so the ref orders Twilight to his feet.
Twilight tries to close the distance and clinch but Vitalis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Twilight throws a series of strikes that have Vitalis backpedaling.
Twilight misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Twilight throws a hook to the side of Vitalis's head but Vitalis sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Vitalis throws a series of punches but Twilight moves out of range.
Vitalis misses with a jab, cross combination.
Twilight ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Vitalis shoots for a takedown but Twilight saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Vitalis lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Twilight circles away quickly and effectively.

Vitalis fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Vitalis attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Vitalis thows a body shot but no joy.
Twilight throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vitalis's waist but Vitalis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Twilight off to one side.
Vitalis uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Twilight.
Vitalis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Twilight.
Twilight throws an overhand right that lands on Vitalis's shoulder, as Vitalis tries to avoid the shot.
Twilight tries to clinch but Vitalis is having none of it.
Vitalis just misses with a punch to the body.
Vitalis gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Twilight counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Vitalis kicks Twilight off and gets back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Twilight shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Twilight was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Twilight jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Vitalis manages to avoid the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mkat Twilight dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Vitalis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Twilight is fending him off so far but Vitalis persists. Nope, Twilight circles away and we're back to standing.
Vitalis lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Twilight gets the takedown into side control.
Vitalis is trying to buck Twilight off.
Twilight tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Twilight has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Vitalis wants to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Twilight has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Vitalis is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Twilight yanks on the arm and Vitalis is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Twilight.
