Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alex Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nino Cabreros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alex Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nino Cabreros!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cabreros tries to score with a low kick but Knight moves his leg out of the way.
Knight really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Knight stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Knight wants it to stay on the feet.

A looping hook to the body misses from Cabreros. Knight does a little dance to reset his feet.
Knight displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cabreros.
Alex Knight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nino Cabreros.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Cabreros closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cabreros lands in his opponent's guard.

Cabreros shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Cabreros was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Cabreros cracks Knight with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cabreros connects with a nice short shot to Knight's temple.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Cabreros misses with an uppercut.

Cabreros throws a hook but Knight avoids it easily.

Cabreros shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Knight's guard.

Nino Cabreros showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!
