Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Olof Hellstrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mamed Khalidov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Khalidov's choice of entrance music: Gigi D' Agostino- Blablabla. Mamed Khalidov will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hellstrom fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Khalidov avoids it really well and circles away.
Khalidov circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hellstrom throws a body punch but Khalidov moves out of range.
Hellstrom tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Khalidov instigates a clinch.
Khalidov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hellstrom tries to score a power double leg takedown but Khalidov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hellstrom somewhat.
Hellstrom is breathing heavily.
Khalidov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Khalidov stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Khalidov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hellstrom sprawls well initially but Khalidov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Khalidov lands a nice shot to the head.
Khalidov has hold of Hellstrom's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hellstrom manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Khalidov moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Hellstrom has worked his arm free - good work by Hellstrom!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Khalidov takes a little break here. Hellstrom wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Khalidov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Khalidov lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Khalidov is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Khalidov is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hellstrom is controlling him.

Khalidov wanted to stand there but Hellstrom had control of the position.
Khalidov is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Mamed Khalidov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Khalidov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
