The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morris looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wellington is fending him off so far but Morris persists. Nope, Wellington circles away and we're back to standing.

Morris shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Morris is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Wellington can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Morris thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Wellington is trying desperately to improve position.

Wellington tries to reverse the position but Morris maintains control.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Wellington regains half guard.
Wellington trying to get back to full guard but Morris takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
The referee warns Wellington that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

It looks like Connor Wellington has been cut.
Wellington is squirming around, avoiding Morris's attempts to control the action.
Morris lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

That has opened up Connor Wellington's cut even more.
The referee warns Wellington that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

The cut above Connor Wellington's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Connor Wellington's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
