Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Rock Johnston! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Rasor Schwager! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnston keeps the fight on the outside. Johnston doesn't manage to clinch there - Schwager circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Schwager. Johnston swats away the attempt to clinch by Schwager. A slapping leg kick lands for Johnston.
Schwager swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Johnston displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Schwager. Johnston drops Schwager with a left right combo! Johnston follows him down to the ground into side control.
It looks like Rasor Schwager has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Johnston has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Johnston moves into the clinch. Johnston stalls. Johnston seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnston unloads a knee to the mid-section. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Rock Johnston. Schwager fails with an attempt to clinch.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Johnston breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Johnston delivers a nice body kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Schwager falls off balance throwing a combination
and Johnston counters with a two punch combo. Johnston throws a head kick that misses. Schwager tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Johnston misses with a head kick.
Schwager with a poor takedown and Johnston counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Johnston throws a series of punches but Schwager avoids them all with ease. Johnston pushes Schwager up against the cage in a clinch. Johnston's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Johnston unloads a knee to the mid-section. Schwager lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Johnston lands an elbow just above Schwager 's eye. Johnston creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Schwager's defenses. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Johnston takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnston connects with a nasty looking knee right to Schwager's face.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Johnston using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Schwager has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Johnston breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Schwager closes the distance and clinches. Schwager wants to break free but Johnston has control.

Schwager lands a shoulder strike. Johnston lands on the inside with an uppercut. Schwager tries to break free but Johnston pushes him back against the cage. Johnston lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Schwager backwards. Schwager goes for a takedown attempt but Johnston pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Johnston is looking to clinch. Schwager moves out of range of the strikes. Johnston tries to close the distance and clinch but Schwager swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Schwager connects with a right hand. Johnston shakes it off. Johnston lands with a thumping leg kick.

Johnston pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Schwager wants to clinch but Johnston slips to the side and Johnston counters with a good low kick that Schwager was not able to check. Johnston fails in his attempt to clinch. Schwager rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Johnston moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Johnston.

Schwager doesn't succeed with the takedown and Johnston holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Rock Johnston has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rasor Schwager. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Johnston obliges.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Schwager on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

and Johnston counters with a nice double leg into guard. Johnston is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Schwager can do to turn this around? Schwager not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

He turned his hip over nicely there. Johnston looks to clinch and Schwager counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Schwager. Schwager must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Schwager's corner is telling him to maintain position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnston circles away from the clinch attempt and Johnston counters with a flying knee. Nice. Schwager misses with a body kick. Schwager throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Johnston counters with a head kick. That will keep Schwager thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Johnston tries to clinch but Schwager moves away and Schwager counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Johnston fails with an attempt to clinch.

Johnston misses with a takedown attempt and Schwager counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Johnston's guard now. Johnston is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Schwager is aware though and is defending well. Schwager stands up and waves to Johnston to follow him. Johnston darts in trying to clinch and Schwager counters with a one-two to the body.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Johnston just misses with a elbow thrown towards Schwager's brow. Johnston lands a damaging elbow. Nice elbow from Johnston. Schwager wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Schwager has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Johnston's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Johnston throws a head kick that misses. Schwager darts in trying to clinch and Johnston counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Johnston fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Schwager. Schwager swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Johnston counters with an outside leg kick.
Schwager doesn't succeed with the takedown and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Johnston closes the distance and lands a one-two. Schwager scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Schwager stands up and beckons Johnston to his feet. Johnston pushes Schwager up against the cage in a clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Johnston pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Schwager tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Johnston swivels and escapes. Rasor Schwager has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rock Johnston is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Schwager misses with a takedown and Johnston counters with a big head kick but Schwager shrugs it off.
And that's the end of the fight! Rasor Schwager comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Johnston has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
