Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hixon Kimura!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Thiago Cunha and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimura wants to clinch up but Poliwrath keeps it at a distance.
Poliwrath stalks Kimura and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kimura's face. Kimura staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Hixon Kimura has been cut.
Kimura takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Poliwrath rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kimura moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kimura shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kimura showed some decent athleticism there.

Kimura is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Poliwrath doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kimura.
Poliwrath trying to hold on to Kimura's head to control him but Kimura postures up.

Kimura in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Poliwrath tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Kimura!
