Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jorje Slayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Ferreiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slayer comes to the cage accompanied by Otep - Battle Ready. Ferreiro comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Remember the Name - Fort Minor kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The key to victory for Jorje Slayer has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slayer fails with a takedown attempt.
Slayer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ferreiro as he avoids it easily.

Slayer gets the takedown into side control.

Slayer tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Slayer has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Slayer tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Slayer thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Ferreiro is trying to control Slayer's posture but Slayer avoids it.
Ferreiro might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Slayer kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Ferreiro blocks a low kick nicely.
Slayer shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ferreiro sprawls well. Ferreiro wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Slayer gets slowly back to his feet.

Slayer wants to free his trapped foot but Ferreiro is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Ferreiro has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Slayer is working away from the top position though.

Slayer has hold of Ferreiro's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Ferreiro manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Slayer is trying to stick to Ferreiro's back but Ferreiro is turning into Slayer. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Slayer's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Ferreiro.

Slayer fails with the takedown

and Ferreiro decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Slayer's guard.
