Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Rapol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and charlie brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). charlie brown will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Rapol! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, charlie brown! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rapol shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. brown looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! brown can't escape the position.
Rapol controlling from mount. Rapol lands with some vicious ground and pound - can brown hang on? brown tries to hold on but Rapol pushes him away. Rapol controlling the position easily from mount. Rapol has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of brown's face.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rapol looking to finish brown with some ground and pound. This is bad for brown!
That's one minute gone in the round. Rapol is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. brown can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Rapol raining down shots from the mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rapol takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Rapol sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rapol takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rapol cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
brown tries to hold on but Rapol postures up. Rapol is landing with some decent strikes but brown is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Rapol tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Rapol cracks brown with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rapol looking to control and managing it successfully. The referee warns brown that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Rapol tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if brown can do anything to dispel that myth. brown working to try and regain half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Rapol with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Michael Rapol dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
brown throws a series of punches but Rapol moves out of range. Rapol is looking to clinch. Rapol fails with the takedown. Rapol looks for a takedown but brown sprawls well. The fight stays on the outside here - Rapol looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Rapol will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. brown wants to clinch but Rapol slips to the side and Rapol counters by moving into the clinch. Rapol stalls. brown wants to break the clinch but can't.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. brown wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rapol has him pressed against the cage. Rapol cracks brown with a nice body shot. brown is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Rapol taking a breather. brown wants to break the clinch but can't.
brown drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rapol pulls his leg out and moves away.
Rapol clinches. Rapol drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Rapol. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rapol's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Rapol takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Rapol tries to circle away but brown has him pinned against the cage. Rapol tries to pull guard but brown won't allow it.

Rapol decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rapol slows the pace down in half guard. brown is staying active underneath Rapol, who seems content to just control the action from this position. brown wants to improve his position but Rapol is controlling well.
Rapol is pressing down on brown's thigh, looking to free his foot. brown is holding on for now.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rapol closes this distance looking for a takedown but brown circles away. brown misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Rapol dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
brown fails miserably with a takedown attempt. brown takes a kick to the side of the head. Rapol pushes brown up against the cage in a clinch. Rapol jumps guard and drags brown to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Rapol manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Rapol fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. brown sprawls well initially but Rapol persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Rapol gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Both fighters are breathing heavily. brown ducks right into an uppercut from Rapol. Rapol closes the distance and pushes brown back into the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. brown stops a takedown attempt from Rapol.
Rapol pulls guard effortlessly. Rapol wants to stand and escape but brown is having none of it. Rapol has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rapol is trying to control the position but brown postures up. Rapol has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but brown can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Rapol keeping moving, preventing brown from controlling successfully. Rapol is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Rapol trying to control the position here. brown trying to control but Rapol is working from the bottom. Rapol pulls brown in to control the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. brown avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rapol moves into the clinch successfully.
brown blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rapol breaks from the clinch.
brown stuffs the takedown. brown throws a left and a right that both miss
and Rapol counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for brown! brown bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! brown wants to control from the top but Rapol keeps moving. Rapol can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as brown controls the pace. brown wants to control from the top but Rapol keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. brown sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rapol's guard. brown throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Rapol wants to get back to full guard. Rapol makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rapol. Rapol looking for a guillotine here but brown defends easily.
brown wants to stand and escape but instead Rapol has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Michael Rapol showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rapol, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
