Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Santi Jimara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taco Train (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Santi Jimara has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Santi Jimara seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Santi Jimara! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Taco Train! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jimara goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Train will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Taco Train seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Train shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jimara defends it nicely. Jimara displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Train. Santi Jimara has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Taco Train. Train clinches up against the cage. Train has clasped his hands together around Jimara's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Jimara sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Jimara has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Train is working away from the top position though. Train seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jimara does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jimara is looking to control Train's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jimara avoid being mounted? Train is trying to control. Jimara wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Train throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Train avoids the body shot from Jimara.

Train shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jimara defends it nicely. Train tries for a takedown but Jimara circles away easily and Jimara counters with a slapping leg kick. Train shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jimara sprawls well. Jimara wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Train gets slowly back to his feet. Train looks gassed! Train fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jimara manages to avoid it. Jimara fakes the leg kick and cracks Train in the body. Santi Jimara is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Train dodges the punch combination from Jimara.

Train clinches but Jimara breaks the clinch and Jimara counters with a straight right hand. This has been an exciting period of action! Jimara moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. A head kick misses from Jimara. Jimara lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Train circles away quickly and effectively.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Train avoids the head kick by Jimara.
Jimara throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Train's head. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Train. Train takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Train takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Train moves in looking to clinch but Jimara pushes him off. Train darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Ground and pound from Train. Train is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Train wants to take a breather but Jimara is having none of it. Jimara on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jimara tries to get out of the position. Jimara is trying to stand back up but Train is controlling him

Jimara desperately trying to maintain half guard. Jimara is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Train missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Train won't allow Jimara to sweep him here. Jimara is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Jimara is pressing down on Train's thigh, looking to free his foot. Train is holding on for now. Jimara wants to take a breather but Train is having none of it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Train tries to roll over but Jimara keeps him under control. Jimara tries to stand but can't do so whilst Train controls his leg. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jimara is thwarting Train's attempts to control the position. Jimara prevents Train from improving his position. Jimara is just content to waste time from the top position. Train takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Train shoots in but no luck this time. Jimara misses with a body kick. Jimara throws a half hearted mid kick. Train tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Train feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Train with a flurry of punches that miss. Train has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Jimara wants to sweep here but Train controlling him for the moment. Train postures up in Jimara's guard and throws a big left but Jimara blocks it. Jimara has his hands on Train's head, controlling the position. Train postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Jimara pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Jimara tries to avoid it but Train manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jimara to the ground. Jimara escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Train lands with a nice body punch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Train avoids a kick to the body.
Train dives in and grabs Jimara's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jimara pushes down on Train's head and hops out. Train has his takedown stuffed and Jimara counters with a left to the body. Jimara throws a head kick that half lands.
Jimara goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Jimara scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. A jab from Jimara does it's job there. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jimara, right into the meat.

Jimara gets caught flat footed, as Train shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Jimara manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Train manages to get himself to full guard.
Train keeping moving, preventing Jimara from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Santi Jimara will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Santi Jimara is winning the standup battle so far. A head kick misses from Jimara. Train takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Jimara throws a leg kick which misses Train's front leg but catches the back leg as Train tries to avoid it. Jimara with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Jimara throws a head kick that misses. Train closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Jimara is looking to reverse the position. Jimara struggling a bit here. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jimara is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Train lands a decent elbow from side control. Jimara is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Train sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Jimara is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jimara pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Train doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jimara counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Train is lucky that one didn't land flush. Horrible takedown by Train or perhaps it was just good defense by Jimara which made him look bad. Train tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jimara swivels and escapes. Santi Jimara has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Taco Train. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Train.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Train thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jimara's head. Train is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Jimara tries to get to full guard but Train has control of the leg. Train not landing any meaningful shots this time. Train throwing shots but Jimara is blocking nicely. Jimara is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Train winds up and cracks Jimara with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jimara regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Train. Taco Train has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Santi Jimara is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Jimara looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
And that's the end of the fight! Taco Train comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Jimara has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
